Neutrons and X-rays help investigate new materials for gas turbines

Since the post-WWII, gas turbines have developed to become more efficient, which led to increased gas temperatures inside the turbines. The materials currently used cannot withstand such high temperatures. Neutrons help investigate new materials that resist to these severe conditions.

In industrial settings, employees may be exposed to harmful high concentrations of metals while working indoors. Research with neutrons gives insights into the air quality in the workplace.

ICNS early registration deadline

The International Conference on Neutron Scattering (ICNS) will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland, 8 – 12 July 2013, at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. NMI3 invites you to visit our booth and attend our Industry Workshop. The deadline for early registration in ICNS is MAY 24.
